Vor meiner Abreise erzählte mir meine Friseurin Petra, dass sie einmal ein halbes Jahr als Tauchlehrerin auf den Philippinen gearbeitet habe. Das sei nun schon ein Weilchen her. Aber eine Sache habe sie seither verinnerlicht: wie kostbar Trinkwasser ist. “Wenn ich sehe, dass jemand den Wasserhahn länger als nötig aufdreht, zuckt in mir auch noch heute etwas zusammen”, sagte Petra, als ich mir kurz vorm Abflug die Haare auf Tropen-Kürze schneiden ließ. Jetzt verstehe ich sehr gut, was sie meint.
Denn zwar Tansania hat viele schöne Seiten. Aber auch weniger schöne, und dazu gehört für sehr viele Menschen der fehlende Zugang zu sauberem Wasser. Das genießen hier nur 54 Prozent der Bevölkerung. Zum Vergleich: in Südafrika sind es 90 Prozent, in Malawi 80 Prozent.
Diesem Fakt Rechnung zu tragen (also: mit Wasser “respektvoll” umzugehen), fällt mir leichter als erwartet: zwei bis drei, maximal vier Liter Wasser reichen dicke für eine Dusche! Auch wenn ich zunächst skeptisch war, als ich meine Dusche sah. Denn oben kommt nichts heraus. Bleibt ein Wasserhahn unten samt Eimer und Maßbecher. Ein Maßbecher über den Kopf reicht zum Nasswerden, zwei zum Abspülen.
Apropos Friseur. Die deutsche Namengebung à la Hairgott, Kaiserschnitt oder Mata Hari (Petra!) hat in Moshi noch nicht Einzug gehalten. Hier steht über den Friseursalons meist “Hair Cutz”. (Hair-)Gott sei Dank!
Heute habe ich bei der Arbeit Kekse und Muffins ausgegeben – auf mein “Einwöchiges”. Eigentlich hatte ich auf der Schicht ja vollmundig Apfelkuchen angekündigt. Aber die Bedienung in der Bäckerei meinte, Kuchen sei nichts für Tansanier – obwohl sie Apfelkuchen in der Auslage hatte. Ich habe ihr vertraut und Kekse und Muffins gekauft. Zwar habe ich auf dem Rückweg ein paar Muffins als Wegzoll zahlen müssen: Zwei an die Bedienung im Internetladen, die mir die Fotos vom Kamerachip auf einen Stick ziehen, anders geht es nicht. Und an zwei deutsche Mädchen, die ich Sonntag kennengelernt und heute wiedergetroffen habe. Aber das Süßzeug kam trotzdem gut (und in ausreichender Menge) bei der Arbeit an.
Mit den Keksen und Muffins habe ich mir dann auch die Möglichkeit erkauft, heute zwei Stunden früher zu gehen. Schließlich stand die zweite Trainingseinheit im Tuleeni Waisenhaus an.
Um es vorwegzunehmen: Es war diesmal nicht zu dolle. Ich war aber auch mies vorbereitet: Trillerpfeife zuhause gelassen, Sonnencreme zuhause gelassen, Wasserflaschen im Waisenhaus vergessen, die Trikots waren weggeschlossen. Ein super Trainer.
Wir waren heute zu zehnt (später sind noch drei Dorfjungen dazugekommen) und haben bei strahlendem Sonnenschein – also brüllender Hitze – eine Stunde gebolzt. Dabei floß wieder Blut, ein Junge hat sich den Knöchel aufgerissen. Kein Wunder: Der Boden ist ziemlich uneben, und die Kinder spielen barfuß oder in Badelatschen. Blöderweise hatte ich diesmal auch kein Taschentuch dabei. Und den armen Dominik (der mit der Kopfverband) hat’s erneut ordentlich erwischt, sein rechter Fuß tat nach einem Zweikampf weh und der Kleine neigt bestimmt nicht zur Wehleidigkeit. Fazit: ich muss mich besser vorbereiten, sonst geht das nicht allzu lange gut. Immerhin haben sich die Kinder gefreut, mich wiederzusehen, und mir ging’s genauso.
Danach bin ich mit dem Daladala noch auf einen Sportplatz in der Stadt gefahren und habe für mich ein bisschen allein gekickt. So habe ich endlich einmal wieder echten Sport getrieben, das tat gut.
In diesem Zusammenhang gibt es hoffentlich eine schöne Nachricht. Bevor ich nach Tansania fuhr, habe ich mich in München mit Prosper getroffen. Er stammt aus Tansania, ich hatte ihn einfach gegoogelt und anschrieben, um etwas Kisuaheli-Sprachunterricht zu nehmen. Herausgekommen ist kein Sprachunterricht, sondern ein wunderbarer Spaziergang durch die Haupteinkaufsstraße Münchens, wo er mir einfach etwas über Land und Leute erzählt hat. Jedenfalls: Ich habe ihm unter anderem verraten, dass ich in den zehn Wochen gerne einen tansanischen Profi-Marathonläufer treffen und mit diesem trainieren möchte. Heute hat Prosper geschrieben, dass er jemanden in Daressalam gefunden habe. Allerdings habe ich ihm auch gesagt, dass ich gern so cool tanzen könnte möchte wie viele Schwarze. Hoffentlich meinte er nicht das und er hat mir einen Tanzlehrer besorgt …
Gleich fahre ich mit meinem “Gastvater” in die Stadt, um im Pub die beiden deutsch-englischen Champions-League-Spiele zu gucken. Es wird also spät heute. Dabei ist morgen ein wichtiger Tag. Ich führe zwei Interviews und filme diese gleichzeitig, um einen NAFGEM-Kanal bei YouTube zu etablieren. Außerdem fotografiere ich meine Kollegen, um diese tollen Menschen in meinem Blog angemessen vorzustellen. Das heißt, Ihr bekommt endlich ein Bild vom NAFGEM-Team.
Für die Zeit bis dahin noch drei ganz wichtiges Infos über Tansania:

– die Rotze hochzuziehen und öffentlich in der Nase zu bohren ist alles andere als verpönt. Heute beim Kekseessen hat das aber niemand gemacht.
…die Probleme eines unvorbereitete Fußballtrainers sind eben überall auf der Welt die gleichen. Wenn auch deine Jungs (und Mädels?) härter ihm nehmen sind als die teilweise verzogenen Kicker hier, die schon bei nem Loch im Rasen die 300 Euro Treter sponsored by Papa ausziehen.
Und nachdem ich jetzt die Spülmaschine kritisch zwex Wasserverbrauch angeschaut habe hjoffe ich nun a) dass du bald wieder schreibst und b) dass der Marathonläufer sich als Tanzguru entpuppt! Wäre viiiiiel cooler!
